Fejø lies in the middle of Smålandsfarvandet — the relatively shallow waters stretching between Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn. It is precisely this location that gives the island its special character.

What makes the location unique?

The waters are protected from all sides by the surrounding larger islands, providing calmer seas and a mild microclimate. This climate is precisely what makes Fejø the most fruit-dense island in the country — apple trees thrive in shelter from the harsh winds. The island is only reachable by ferry from Kragenæs on Lolland, the trip takes only about 15 minutes, but the short distance is enough to preserve a completely different calm and timelessness on the island.
